My ferret was very sick with the flu and got extremely dehydrated and
was not eating. I took her to the vet and she was hospitalized for 3
days on IV fluids. Her BUN was 295 and 3 days later was still > 200.
The vet is stumped the rest of her bloodwork has improved but the BUN
is still WAY too high. She does not know why she has not improved. She
still does not want to eat I have to syringe feed her and give her
meds that the Dr put her on. She is very wobbly and disoriented. She
does not have much energy but is still trying to cause trouble : )

I have to give her SQ fluids twice day. I am very concerned, has anyone
ever gone through this before? Does who has gone through this have any
advice. If there are any Doctors reading the list I really would
appreciate the imput. The vet I work for is at a loss and the exotics
doctor is scratching her head. I need some help.

Thanks
Ruby
