Does anyone have any ideas or know of what people can do with their
used/older ferret bedding? Obviously if something is in bad shape or
torn we trash it. But what about the stuff that has faded, lost its
"new" look because of too much washing, or just plain didn't work out
as we thought it might when we bought it (read- my particular ferrets
weren't totally in love with it but there is nothing wrong with it)?

I'm unfortunately one of those people who spoil my ferrets to the extent
that their bedding matches and they have several sets for different
seasons, laundering purposes, etc. All the shelters in my area are well
established and certainly have no need for my used bedding. So what do I
do (I know some others with the same problem too)? I feel like it is a
waste to trash it. Is there some place we can send it to that it might
get used? Maybe a central location where it can be disbursed to shelters
just starting out, or maybe sent to poor ferret owners who can't afford
new bedding all the time, or handed out to new ferret owners who adopt
from a shelter or people struck by weather disasters who just need
something to tide them over. Maybe the effort can be an extention of
an existing ferret organization...

Dooks,
Moscha
