Hi Folks.... I have 4 furkids right now. 3 were adoptions (all girls)
that I got from a rescue when our one furkid lost it's mate. Went to
get a companion for it and came home with all 3 of them as he loved and
got along with all of them!

One they were pretty sure was still very young and had not been spayed.
She came into heat about 2 weeks after I got them. I had her spayed and
all has been fine. Some time ago - maybe a year? One of the adopted 3
"Toostie" who is a sable started losing her fur......got real skinny and
her privates were very swollen. I panicked but was told that she was at
the beginning of adrenal failure. I accepted that. Then this last
summer we lost our original male that we got the girls for. But at the
same time we gained another furkid. He is very big and handsome but had
a very strong odor about him. I took him into the vets as there was
"swelling" in his privates area ........Or was it?? Lol.........as it
turned out I have an unaltered male!

"Joey" is wonderful with all the girls and pampers them like you can't
believe. There is one concern now however. Tootsie.........the little
sable that has been so skinny and lost her all her fur? Well she is now
beautiful!! Fat with all her hair back with a beautiful shine to it.
She no longer has a swollen vulva and looks in peak health!

Is there any way that she could be pregnant? Or is this how adrenal
failure works? Great looking one minute and then looking at if they are
on deaths door? I mean this last time that she lost all her fur and was
skin and bones...... I really thought she was at her end. She has had
the lost of the fur....getting skinny and then will grow some of her fur
back along with a little weight. Nothing like this time however.......
she's normal looking again! Maybe even better than when I got her?? Do
any of you have comments on what I may be dealing with here? I would
like an idea before taking her to the vets or if a vet visit is even
necessary?

Thank you - I appreciate any comments or recommendations you can give me.
