"Two tomatoes walking along the street...." Oh no, not the Ketchup joke!

I have been off list for the last month and just wanted to say ... "Hey
Jellohead! Errrr, I mean good job Big! There is something kind of cute
about Jellohead even though I never see you make any mistakes.

I'm sorry for all the losses in the last month. My heart goes out to you
all.

Thanks for the bickering and fighting too...LOL, less for me to read.
I was very fortunate when I joined this list. I made wonderful friends
that want to help in the ferret community. When I see pettiness and
bickering I just scroll on by and enjoy our Fun, Caring side of the
ferret family.

Speaking of "caring" in the ferret community I have to "one-up" you Wolfy
and maybe we can even start a trend? I was so touched by your post about
Jubilee Spirit and the thoughtful gift you received BUT.... can you top
this one?

Of course I won't use names and embarrass anyone, Lynne Seigel, so I'll
tell you what happened. I do not have a lot of money, I do not have
large accommodations, in fact you must know by now I live in a "shoebox"
but I think we can all contribute. I just wanted to make bedding for
shelters. I bought an old heavy metal sewing machine from a second hand
store, set it up and it didn't work. I carried this heavy monster to my
neighbours apt., oh yeah, I have a back problem. When I reached her apt
she said, "Just set it on the dining room table" I am a klutz and the
dining room table was made of GLASS. Ok, so I lifted really high and
out and you know like in cartoons when you hear a spring pop out....
SPRAAAAAAANG...and eyes that pop out of a head? Yep, that was the scene.
Something in my back went and I couldn't move...for a long time, really
long time.

I have some loopy friends from this list and one of them asked if I
ever checked my mail. I had a parcel to pick up at the Post Office. I
watched the postperson bring this box from the back room and well, I
don't know why cause I never cry and get weepy, ya know, but everything
was kind of watery in front of me.

I got it home with my heart just a fluttering and opened it to find a
new sewing machine inside (Lynne Seigel) and lots of ferrety treats for
Da Handsome Boy.

I don't want to embarrass the sender by telling you her name but Lynne
Seigel, now Lynne McFarland in Florida sent to me, in Canada, a sewing
machine to make bedding for shelters!

Now she would tell you that she bought a lil ole refurbished machine and
a bunch of the loopy friends paid for shipping but....it is a wonderful
gift that has made others happy too.

To think that someone (s) would go to the expense and trouble to help
me, never having met me in person, gives you an idea how caring and
giving the friends I have made on this list act every day.

I can tell you so many other incidences of the love I have been given
because of this list but let's see you top this!

Da Wolfy and I throw down the challenge of "one upmanship" of good deeds!
(ya do don't ya Wolfy, huh, huh, ok, so I never asked ya, I just dragged
ya along by the scruff) She says yes!

Lynda
