AP Sacramento, CA
The Governor today announced that he was returning California Senate
Bill 89 without his signature. The surprise veto caught many off guard,
especially the people he had assured that ferrets would indeed be
legalized. The Governor, a 2nd amendment hating, liberal Republican in
traditional liberal form tossed aside reason, logic and common sense and
instead followed the advice of career bureaucrats with their credibility
as scientist at stake.
The Governor trying to deflect criticism from such a ridiculous move
did say that he would support drivers licenses for these same illegal
ferrets. The only stipulation being that the drivers licenses be a
different color than those of legal human drivers. Dook Johnson, a Simi
Valley ferret commented "Finally I can drive myself down to Petco to buy
my food without fear of harassment from the California Highway Patrol".
Asked to comment on the governors disheartening veto, one Placer County
ferret known by his peers as the Dook Nazi, replied, "No Raisins for Him
[Schwarzenegger] for two years"
