A week of diarrhea is not all that long, and at this age and with the
fact that he has just moved into a new home, I would consder stress and
the possibilyt of adjusting to a new diet - do you know what he ate
before you brought him home?
The test for parasites is good, but we generally run 2-3 tests, as
coccidia may not be shed with each stool.
Regarding foreign bodies - you NEVER think that they have gotten into
anything. However, unless you are monitoring young animals 24 hours a
day - you can't be sure - I know - I've been fooled by my own ferrets
time and time again...
With kindest regards,
Bruce Williams, DVM
