About the Queens Victoria and Elizabeth I - i don't know anything about
QV, but there is a famous portrait of QEI with what looks like a ferret
in her lap.  Somebody once said that the wee creature is actually an
ermine (weasel), and it's in the portrait to signify royalty (only
royalty was allowed to wear ermine fur).
 
I've been reading all the comments on rice/bean boxes and thought i'd
share this....I got my babies a nice big storage box from target, and cut
the hole in the lid just like in Modern Ferret, and put nice clean rice
in there.  So what does my Pixie Pie do?  Looks at it as if to say "Dat's
a big litterbox momma!" then runs over to the (turned off, unplugged)
paper shredder, hauls herself over the edge and "plop" into the pile of
paper!  OK, i can take a hint. : P
 
THe rice is going, and i'll fill the box with shredded paper.  And maybe
a few crinkly plastic bags.......
