If you do so you open yourself up to a libel suit.  You must stick to
verifiable facts.  You can publish that she was convicted of improperly
running a shelter and is currently on probation for the same, for
instance.  You can NOT publish that she is running an unsafe shelter -
that's conjecture.  You can NOT publish that the 261 ferrets were
mistreated or neglected - we may know better, but again it will be viewed
as conjecture and cannot be verified.  Publish what can be verified, and
hopefully that will be warning enough.  I for one would avoid a shelter
whose owner had been convicted of improper practices!
