I couldn't agree more. We just put our Skeeter to sleep after a long
battle with adrenal tumors and cancer. The vet initially didn't want us
in the room because he was afraid that he wouldn't hit a vein the first
time. He was very up front about this but I insisted that Skeeter would
not die alone and he was fine with that. I appreciate the fact that he
was so honest with us about it. So with Mike and I holding and petting
him, the vet administered the shot and he was gone. It was quick,
painless (well not for us) and we knew he was headed to a much better
place. We wanted to be there for him and we had complete trust in our
vet.
