It's time for the annual Oregon Ferret Association Fun Match! The fun
match will be held August 13th at Cedar Hills Park in Beaverton, Oregon
(near Portland.) There is no charge for admission or the enter any event.
The fun match will consist of games and a raffle. Ribbons will be awarded
for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes in each game.
Donations (currently exceeding $1100 retail value) have been received from
merchants and individuals. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the
Oregon Ferret Association Shelter (currently the largest shelter in the
United States.) Our shelter is in desperate need of new cages, and we are
hoping to raise enough money to buy about 40 new cages ($800-900). Raffle
tickets for the general drawings are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The
raffle tickets for the special drawings for ferrets will be $3.00 each or
2 for $5.00. Winners of ferrets must go to the M & P ferretry in Oregon
City to select an appropriate ferret. All tickets purchased will be eligible f
or the grand prize drawing. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN RAFFLE PRIZES! The

Grand Prize Drawing: Two night for 2 adults at the Pegasus Inn
Bed and Breakfast in Nehalem Bay, Oregon (near the beach!) There is a
sauna and hot tub in the room. This package is valued at $270!
Good for Sundays thru Thursdays and ferrets are welcome!
Jean Carlie, a ferret photographer from California (ironic, huh!) will be
on hand to promote her Ferret Calendar for 1995 which includes pictures
of an OFA shelter kit in the months of May and December. Judi Soule will
be taking orders for original pen and ink drawings of ferrets (or any
other critter).
A complete list of rules and the up-to-date schedule of events is
available by calling the OFA at (503) 657-6902. i.e. must >18 years to
win a ferret or have written permission of parent/guardian. Adult ferrets
will not be sent home until they have been neutered or spayed. Prizes
must be claimed prior to the start of the next event or another ticket
will be chosen. Please insure ferrets are current on vacinations. The OFA
reserves the right to make substitutions in games, drawings, and the
schedule.
