I find shredded newspaper and any kind of paper bedding (especially in
little pieces) to be very messy-it gets tracked and blown everywhere-and
makes the ferrets and their areas stinkier.  I think it's worth the extra
effort to just wash towels more often-it's actually less effort than
picking up myriad pieces of newspaper, etc...
