Being fuzzieless at the moment until I feel I can care for a furkid
properly, I didn't think I could participate in this thread.  But I
figured out a way.
 
There are always my former girlfriend's two fuzzbutts, who introduced me
to the wild and wonderful world of ferrets, Al and Peggy.  Peggy, for
instance, was my favorite because she was curious and adventurous and
showed me what a War Dance looked like, and she loved to climb into one
of my dresser drawers and fall asleep.  Al, on the other hand, was my
favorite because he actually gave me kisses, and by the time he pased to
the Bridge, he really was my little boy.
 
But those aren't my only favorites.
 
Big Bear, of the Friends of Fuzzies shelter in Oregon, was my favorite
because he was so friendly and joyful and didn't let a minor inconvenience
like Hind End Paralysis get him down.  He also showed the world that
having your back legs strapped in some strange contraption with wheels
could be *fun*!  He's now at the Bridge, where his hind legs must be
working again, but his legacy lives on; another paralyzed ferret is using
Big Bear's wheelchair now and is finding it to be just as useful as Big
Bear did.
 
Harley Bug of FAST is my favorite ferret, because he's such a
happy-go-lucky guy, even during all the operations and nasal flushes that
he's had to endure.
 
Jerimiah of Ferretwise is my favorite ferret, because his shelter updates
are so enjoyable to read.
 
Sandee is my favorite ferret, because she gives so much comfort to those
humans who miss their little furbabies.
 
The multi-talented Kouri Wood is my favorite ferret.  because... well,
he's multi-talented and popular enough to warrant his own fan club; I'm
very proud to be a member.  (Oh, yes, and the officers who run the fan
club are my favorite ferrets, too!)
 
Rocky Stout is my favorite ferret, because the special bond he has with a
special human, Sean.
 
White Russian, and all the little ones with ADV, are my favorite ferrets,
because so many people care for them and are doing what they can to find a
cure for this terrible disease.
 
The Utah rescues, and the New Jersey Christmas rescues, and so many other
rescues are my favorite ferrets, because they've been able to learn what
love means.
 
All the ferrets that have gone to the Rainbow Bridge are my favorites,
because they've gone beyond the pain and suffering of this world to a
better place beyond.
 
All the ferrets in the rescue shelters are my favorites, because somebody
cares.  And all the ferrets with happy, loving homes are my favorites - I
don't have to explain this one, do I?
 
Someday, when I feel the time is right, I'll adopt a ferret - or two, or
three - into my home.  And when I do, rest assured that they will be my
favorite ferrets.
