HI Everyone,
Paranoid mama here.... Well I was paranoid earlier.

Michael and Gabriel are real dookers when they are running and make
all kinds of strange noises so I am use to that. They both had their
distemper shots last night with no problems. They were up and at um first
thing this AM and no problems. The vet did keep us there to check them
for 30 min afterwards. She was great with them. My husband was home all
day working on a stand for their cage and he had checked on them a few
times and said they were really active and no problems. Tonight when I
went to take Michael out he seemed to sound funny. He didn't have any
difficulty breathing but he was making his "dookey" noise so I was a
bit worried since he usually only does that when he is running and
roughousing. I started to panic being the new mom so my husband got me
the stethescope and I listened to his lungs which sounded fine. I
listened again and still weird noises coming out of this ferret who I
believe may have been running around prior to coming out. So he was
doing his running around the room as he does everynight and I had my hubby
scruff him so I could get an ear listen and no problems. I put him back
in tonight after my husband was with them while they played for about 2
hours with no problems and he was fine no noises. I did give him some
ferralax just in case he had hair in his throat or esophagus. I don't
know if that helped or not. I checked all cage things and no vomit and
all toys in place. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I am new to
ferrets and it sounded like when my cats get a hairball but the sound was
a dookey noise.

Should I worry?
Love, Debbie & her little baby dooksters Micheal and Gabriel
