Dear X - remember when you take out an adrenal, the excess hormones still
circulate until they dissipate, and depending on the concentrations, can
take up to 6-8 weeks.  It likely will dissipate over time.  Just because
it went away quickly with the first adrenal doesn't mean it will do the
same with the second one.
 
In cases of adrenal-related pruritus (which we don't really understand),
Benadryl really doesn't seem to do much.
