I am looking for some help with my 7 month old ferret Samantha who is
deaf.  I am having trouble socializing her.  She is still very nippy and
quite jumpy as you can imagine.  This is making it difficult to cuddle and
handle her.  I try to not startle her when I am letting her out of her
cage I gently make sure she is awake first.  I have also been trying to
use signs with my hands to come to me but, she thinks my fingers are a
toy.  I also have been scruffing her when she bites but, without being
able to hear my stern voice I find it is not as effective.
