Some people were asking how they could get their hands on a copy of the
ASPCA article that I wrote for their Fall edition of Animal Watch. If you
aren't on the ASPCA's mailing list, they have put the article up on
Petfinder.com. The exact address of the article is:

http://web2.petfinder.org/journalindex.cgi?path=/public/animalcare/ferret/
1.6.2.txt

Again, it isn't very detailed, as I only had 3,500 words to work with and
I can get very long winded when it comes to ferrets :-) They edited
thousands of words out of the original article. At first I submitted
about 4,500 words. Then they asked me to go into further detail on a
whole bunch of items which put me WAY over the limit. So the end product
was a total surprise to me since they left me out of the editing loop.
In fact, it arrived in many mailboxes before I even saw it. Typical.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. There are some FMLers quoted in there too!

On another note, GCFA's annual awesome "Greatest Ferret Show on Earth" is
this Saturday, October 6th at the DuPage County Fairgrounds: 2105
Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL. The show opens at 9am and judging begins
immediately. I'll be there with some of my favorite fuzzies and signing
books (Ferrets for Dummies). We'll only have about 75 books available at
the show this year. Also, we'll have two different screensaver CD's
available for sale. One is completely ferrets. The other is an
assortment of critters. More than anything I look forward to meeting
some new faces! Hope to see you there!
