Actually, a sonogram is probably not the best way to diagnose adrenal
disease.  I wouldn't even call it a good way.  Symptomatic diagnosis seems
to be the best way and if you want a little more assurance that it's an
adrenal problem, the U of Tenn.  adrenal panel is an option.  Hair loss
on the tail alone is not necessarily a sign of adrenal disease and since
adrenal disease is rarely an emergency situation in the early stages, it
wouldn't hurt to wait a month or so to see if any other hair loss develops.
And since Sara is a girl, a swollen vulva would be another sign to watch
for.
 
Yes, Lupron is definitely an option if surgery is not.  Surgery is the best
treatment, but if it's not an option for whatever reason, Lupron is the
second best way to go.
