>You probably got this figured out by now. And you're right. All twenty
>(20) of his toes are gone. Just cut off. Crunch, crunch crunch crunch
>crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch crunch, times 2.

Dolly was my first ferret. She was bought from a *private breeder*, but
she had the 2 dots in her ear.

She was also purported to be *going on 5*...................and she was
*de-clawed* on all 4 feet.

My son bought her for his GF as a Xmas present......but she soon discovered
*Dolly smelled* (cleaning the cage would have helped)..........so when GF
departed, I confiscated Dolly, bought her an actual ferret cage, and
proceeded to enjoy her antics for almost 5 years. She crossed the Bridge
in January 1999. She just sort of....ran...out...of....gas. Went quietly,
curled up in her blankies.

The next day I adopted 2 MF girls from a foster home. Imagine my total
shock to find out that these 2 little *twins of terror* were CLIMBERS!!!!!!
Polly and Molly are a blast. They are so much a blast, that they were
joined last week by Hope and Glory...........2 more climbers.........
that's 80 clicky, scratchy, climby, diggy little nails loose here in my
office.........I understand in Europe it is illegal to de-claw cats and
ferrets......(but I've been wrong before........)

Dolly came to me that way, but I wouldn't think of doing to my present
4.............in fact, I can't imagine my vet condoning it.

But I've also heard of people having vocal cords severed on a constantly
barking dog......*so it wouldn't bother the neighbors*.

Diane I.
