hello,

i am fairly new to this group and have been a lurker reading and getting
information for the care of ferrets. we took in a ferret a couple of
months ago. Her original name was missy, however her name now is slinky
as nooone here liked the name missy. I like in southern new hampsjire and
was wondering if anuone knew of a ferret resue legue or shelter here. i
would love to get another one as she is by far my favorite pet. we have
dogs, cats, a rat, and frogs and fish. I love animals can you tell.
Slinky gets along very well with the cats and one of my dogs. The other
dog is way to interested in her for her taste.

anyhow I have another question to pose here. when we got slinky little did
we know she was going to infest our house with fleas(we have not had them
at all in over a year). any clue how to rid her of them/ I got a ferret
flea shampoo but it only seemed to be temporary. i changed all her bedding
and her hammock. we bombed our house(don't worry slinky was outside of
the house). I was just wondering for some tips for the future in case the
little buggers return to us again.

thanks alot Nikki
 and slinky( a white albino)
