Hi,
Due to the success of the New England Ferret Website, I've spent a couple
of bucks, registered a domain, and with my ferret owning friend Lawrence
have set up FERRETOPIA.ORG. It currently includes:
- The New England Ferret Website (for VT,NH,ME,MA,CT and RI)
- The Midatlantic Ferret Website (for NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, and DC) - this
one is new!
These regional sites have Discussion Boards, Want Ads, Events Calendars,
lists of the region's shelters and clubs, and links to sign up for the
regional Mailing lists (as well as the FML you're reading now).
Organizations that wish to post events on the site need to email me to
get a password (once they have it they can put up events on their own).
The Want Ads and Discussion Boards are open to anyone from the region.
The site will also eventually include pages for shelters and clubs. I am
going to create a template that will let me create them quickly and easily,
and allow the organization to update it easily on their own. And
eventually I will set up sections for other regions as well.
As a personal site, I sometimes have time to work on it, and sometimes not,
so I need to set up the site to be as self sufficient as possible. The
site still needs work, but the structure and content is there.
You can get to the site at http://www.ferretopia.org . From there you can
get to the New England and Midatlantic sites. Or, go right to them at
http://newengland.ferretopia.org and http://midatlantic.ferretopia.org
Finally, you can subscribe to the regional email lists by sending a blank
email to [log in to unmask] or
