Hi Everyone,
 
I want to apologize for not having direct quotes in the following.
Frankly, I have been reading the fml but it is a struggle right now.  I am
extremely ill and also in the middle of finals, which I think will have to
be extended due to illness.  I am very very sick of the clinic right now.
I have been there way too much this week.  My heart is there but the body
just isn't right now.  But I am getting lots of tlc from the ferts, even
if they aren't getting it back from me.  They keep me holding on.
 
The Petersen's--
Don't let them fool you.  They tried to brush off receiving a phone call
on a lost ferret.  But I know how these folk work.  They do all for the
ferrets.  They are very dedicated folks.  I once called them with a
question and ending up talking to them while they were in a restuarant, in
Portland Oregon (they live in St.  Louis).  Even on vacation, they have
their phones forwarded to the cell, so they are always on call.  And you
should see them when they come to visit here in Columbia!  All the kids on
the street love to stand and watch as we unload several cages of ferrets
for a play date.  Yes, cages.  The ferrets travel in luxury, having their
hammies and toys with them.

Well, don't let anyone get you down.  I know how hard it is, being accused
of many, many falsities over the years myself.  I have periods when I no
longer think it is possible to talk to anyone in an adult manner on the
fml.  It is hard, especially when the attacks are not just questioning
ferret stuff, but things that have nothing to do with ferrets, as being
accused of being delusional, white trash, bestiality, violence, et al.  You
decide if it is worth it to you to post.  Try to forget those others.  I
have found that the people on the fml who have the reputations for being
the nicest are those who are actually the worst ones.  They are not real.
Or as someone recently remarked to me, that it was nice that I was one of
the 'humans" still left on the fml, someone who can actually make a
mistake.
 
Is it worth it?  Don't know as I believe that much anymore.
 
Do they love us--
Yes of course they do!!  And yes Todd, they do remember folks.  I agree
completely.  I have a friend who lets the fat boys climb all over her, down
her back etc.  She just comes over once in a while, but when they see her
they get all excited.  It is too funny to watch, and she just loves them.
Even when I have a room full of folks, the ferts will all come up to play
with Ma if she sits on the floor.  And even when I am gone to school for
just a few hours, Pookie always manages to be one of the first to great me.
I am ever surprised at this since she is deaf.  But she always knows.  And
if I go out of town, watch out!!  It is a stampede!!
 
Anyway, hang on to them fuzzets.  Mine are a slippery lot right now, I can
literally shake them (gently) in mid air and watch the hair fall.  sigh.
