I can only speak from my personal experience. I am terribly allergic to
cats. I can not be around cats for more than two minutes before I start
wheezing and having trouble breathing. This is one of the prime reasons I
looked at ferrets when I decided I wanted to get some pets. I now have six
ferrets, two of whom sleep with me next to my face; kind of like living,
breathing teddy bears <ggg>. I have not had any allergy problems with my
fuzzies in over four years. I hope this helps.
