Augie (she is breathing well today, so running) found herself a grand new
toy. a box of raffia stored from a basketmaking 'period'. It's soft and
springy, you can tunnel in it, it fights back a bit. she had a grand time.

the web site at www.ferret.org has in its 'first aid' section directions
for providing a heimlich manuever on a ferret. and the same caution that
i was taught in 'people' first aid: if the victim can cough, encourage
them to do so rather than use this technique. I remember wondering if this
was possible when Augie had one of her earlier CHF attacks, and someone
mentioned the possibility earlier in the week for a coughing/choking fuzzy.
