Three years ago my friend was visiting from Holland.  She and I are great
lovers of ferrets, mink and otters.  We were invited to visit a man with
otters and mink.  I had my video camera with me and after what I saw that
day I am very glad I now have it on video!!  He had a mink with the most
unusal marking that I ever saw in my life.  The animal had a white head
with black markings.  He look to have side burns like Elvis Presley did.
(I am sure many of you remember the picture of Presley I am referring to,
many of you out there may be too young to remember) I will always remember
the lovely critter!!  We saw a Pine Marten, and a mother otter with 3
young!!  ALL of these animals had the cleanest set up I had ever seen!
The otters were in second heaven with their hudge tub of water to play in.
What a time they were having!!  Well I look over to my left and there she
was...the fat girl badger.  Whe was so happy to see her owner.  Talking to
him and kiss..kiss..  kiss..whe was all over him with badger kisses!!!!
Boy was she something special, and she knew it.  He was just baby talking
to her and was she ever responding!  I could tell she didn't care for us
(the strangers being there) which was no big deal to me.  Guess she was a
daddys girl and the heck with everyone else!  I learned from the man that
she has her moods.  When whe has babies she isn't pleased with strangers
and when she is going through her heat cycle she isn't happy with
strangers.
 
All of this can be understood by me.  Many of Gods creatures act the same
way and some of us humans do too!!  I am learning to stop and think " why
does an animal act the way he or she does?" God bless them all!!
