Ya know, I went to that Pet warehouse in Bohemia several years ago, and they didn't have any ferrets or sugargliders or such available. They did have some emperor scorpions, which me and my fiance were also knowledgeable about. The staff had no information regarding what they were selling, and the place was ultimately uncomfortable and dusty (it really did look like a warehouse, drafts and all). The staff, rather than find someone who was knowledgeable, chose to walk away and ignore us. I asked to speak to the manager, and he also never became available. I suspect they thought they had a trouble maker on their hands. They did have dogs and some reptiles when I was there. The dogs didn't seem too uncomfortable, and an employee was exercising the dogs right in the warehouse. I am appalled that they are now selling precious fuzzies, and even more appalled that they are selling them on line. Unfortunately, I now live in New Jersey and am unable to take a trip there to scope things out. I sincerely hope that there's someone concientious enough to go there and check on the well being of all the animals. It seems to me that if things are the same there, the biggest concern is that they become more knowledgeable about the needs of the animals they sell. ~ signed, Losing Sleep now in Lodi..... {{{HUGS}}} to all your sweet ones Dee, Mooch, 'Spresso, Breezely Bruin, Charles, Dash & Vera *Dooks* [Posted in FML issue 2852]
