Dear Collective, We have added a third ferret to our business. Gryphon is a cinnimon blaze kit--just about 1 lb at this point--who is adjusting to life with two older brothers. Sherlock, our alpha, is kicking the tar out of the little guy. We figure it will take a few days for the pecking order to shake itself out. Our old man, P.B., doesn't seem to want much to do with the fella. I think he finds Gryphon is just a nuisance that hopefully will go away. For a kit he is remarkably cuddly. After playing like a maniac he will sit in your lap and snooze, occasionally waking up to give you a lick or two before heading back to sleep. Sherlock was NEVER this cuddly and P.B. came to us as an adult. Unfortunately we believe he is deaf. He doesn't react to noises at all, but will react to vibrations in the floor. I'll be scouring the archives for information on how best to communicate with him. I wanted to share the news of our crazed ball of fluff bouncing off the walls. He really is a little joy. I'd forgotten how amazing (and tiring) kits are. Cheers! Matthew. [Posted in FML issue 2854]
