I'm so excited, I'm out of my mind, it's out of control! We adopted number 13 last night, but for some reason it turned into 15! How does that happen? Just a year ago we had only 2 then went to 10, now we have 15. How does that happen? We had planned on adopting Scooter (4+ yrs) because we fell in love with him when we baby-sat for him and some other sick ones. At the time we were overwhelmed with going from 3 down to 2 and up to 10 we just didn't want to adopted another one, especially with a sick cage mate. His cage mate has since crossed the bridge and he was available so... When the shelter mom brought Scooter over she also had to pick up 2 she adopted out because the wife was allergic. Of course, she HAD to bring them IN and not leave them outside! They are just around a year old, Woozel and Pooh. Woozel is a dark sable and Pooh is a ruby white (really a yellow muffin). They are both very fluffy and healthy. I asked my husband if we could keep them and he said yes, so it's HIS fault, right? I'm going to call Pooh, Pooh-Bear after Tunny-Bear, my little yellow muffin that was a DEW. Woozel, I'm not sure, call her Woozie, Woo, or how about Woozie-Woo? I try to keep the names they were given but in this case she's only a year old. Any suggestions? Ferret integration takes time! It's been a year that we have been hoping Chico-The-Meany (baby brat) would accept the 8 new comers. He has accepted 2 of them. We had 2 separate play groups (the old timers and the youngsters). In July after my Rowdy went to the bridge we got 2 whole kits (Funny-Face and Ollie-Bear). We then went to 3 play groups. Finally over this past weekend we introduced Chico and the kits. Now Chico is the one being picked on, sigh, but we're down to 2 play groups, yeah! The good thing is there's no blood shed, just screaming, hissing and pooping, sigh! And, of course, with adopting 3 more last night we have changed the pecking order again, bigger sigh! Really, I mean it THIS time 15 is enough! (I keep thinking that 5 or 6 would be a good number...or would it???) Prayers for your sick ones (I have some too) and tears for yours that have crossed the bridge! Mary and The 12 OOOPPPSSS 13, NO, 15 Munchkins (I still don't believe it!)
