With the holidays approaching, I am trying to imagine HOW a Christmas tree stays decorated in a house with five ferrets and five cats?? It's bad enough that the human kids eat the candy canes off the tree, that the cats play tetherball with the ornaments and that at least once during the season the tree falls over of it's own accord. (Personally, I think the tree falling over is actually the tree *fainting* due to the indignities it has suffered.) So, the question is... How does one keep the Christmas tree decorated? I have toyed with the ideas of suspending it from the ceiling or gluing the ornaments on. :-) I'd love to hear some ideas to ferret-proof the Christmas tree. (Off topic-- [Sorry this isn't ferret-related, BIG, but cat lists has been brought up.] I moderate a cat list on Onelist called clawsforcats. As the list name suggests, this particular list is for people who are OPPOSED to declawing cats. Declawing is not the topic of the list but I refuse to get into a "debate" with someone who willingly chooses to mutilate their cat in the name of "love".) Anyway, Christmas tree ideas, anyone??
