It is with a very sad and broken heart that I tell you guys my little "Skeeter Girl" left me on Saturday. When I woke up she was in a coma. I rushed her to the vet's. Of course, on a Saturday the vet's office was packed-and with all these happy people sitting around with their healthy dogs, birds, and a pig. Then there's me-red eyed, sniffling, sobbing... because I know what I'm there for. She didn't even know what was going on. Which was probably better. I just sat and petted her. I've never had to do that before...I didn't know it would be so fast. Within seconds her little lungs just stopped breathing. I said my good byes as best as I could and I told her that I'll see her one day at the bridge. Now she's at my grandma's house between the porch and the garage.....that was her favorite little trail when I would let her run around outside. I'd just like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone that has e-mailed me and helped me out and kept in touch wanting to know her progress. It meant a lot..believe me. I can't do this....Skeeter, please greet my little Skeeter girl and keep her safe and happy until I can see her again. To Skeeter: Mommy's not crying because she's sad, but because she's knows you're much happier now. Keep watch over me and don't worry..I'll be with you one day. I miss you so very much and I love you. Lots of hugs and kisses, Jen (Mommy) Geech, Snickers, Bodie, Breezy, and Delta (they miss you too!) [Posted in FML issue 2811]
