Hi! I haven't posted in ages, but here is some of what I know about
Diatomaceous Earth (DE):

GET FOOD GRADE ! :) Perma Guard processes an FDA approved DE. There is a
substance that is dangerously high in pool packaged DE that is much lower
(safe enough for humans to eat and be in contact with.

I have been using DE for the nasty flys that anoy my horses, with some
luck. But it has taken care of the six fleas I have seen on my little
fuzzies. It pretty much does in any insect that comes in contact with it,
providing that the buggy doesn't get free access to water.

DE kills insects by shredding their exoskeleton and dehydrating it. If it
has water access, then the bug will live longer (days, even a week).

I have a cage full of fuzzies to play with, (& clean the cage) now, I'll
try to remember to post more later!

Cheers!

Trish
