Heard personally from some wonderful people (apologies for accidently
removing some names so can't thank all publicly): Bill, Ilena, Bev, Bryan,
Kym, Dennis, MC, Janie, etc.) with suggestions for re-covering those sharp
cage edges. Here are the choices presented: duct tape (Ashling would eat
it.), denim held on with clips (Had sewn cloth before but Ashling eats
it.), replacements of the originals (sources: Morton Jones 800-443-5769,
Martins Critters & Cages 717-684-1864, Safeguard Products 800-433-1819),
material put around metal chassis to keep wires from rubbing against the
metal from electronics supply stores, from cut glass area in hardware
stores the aluminum glass edging sheaths, door edge guards from automotive
repair sections of stores, slide on hard plastic bindings from some
stationery stores (Office Depot was mentioned as selling them.). The metal
solutions sound GREAT, but don't know when time will allow those so might
go with the plastic mail order ones till can get and try some of the metal
ones. It will be wonderful to not get cut up the cage openings!
