My suggestion for litter would be the wood pellets used for wood pellet stoves. They are $3 here for a 40lb bag and work fine. I assume that, from what I've heard, they are essentially the same as Feline Pine. I get my wood pellets at a farm equipment/hardware type store. A while ago, I was really worried about Pinky because he used to be on the chubby side, and lost a lot of weight in time for summer. I've kept an eye on him, and it seems like he is gaining his weight back again! I was worried for a while that there could be something wrong with him, but he showed no other symptoms. It turns out my paranoia was unfounded. :) Does anyone else have this problem? I put harnesses on my boys to take them on walks, and even when they are running loose in my room. When I take the harnesses off, the skin of one is kind of red (usually just on one of them). I've tried loosening the harness, but then he can get out of it partially and I don't want him to get caught on something. I like having having the harnesses on them when they are inside so I can tell where they are by the bells, and so that they are used to the harnesses for when we go on walks. I've stopped putting the harnesses on them, and even tried getting a softer, thinner harness, but it hasn't made a difference. I think if I just had a collar on them, they would have that off in no time too, and deposited in a hidey hole with my razor, breath mints, boxing gloves, brushes, half-rotten apple, and boyfriend's socks. :) :) Brenda Pinky & the Brain [Posted in FML issue 2778]
