I just had to write and get my two cents in on this topic. We have 12 ferrets, and each has bonded to us differently. But the reason I am writing in about Whisker (aka Whiskey Sour. THANKS MEL of Fuzzbutt Hut!) He cames here as a sllep mate to my oldest fert Pepper. He was classified as a biter and he is a retired breeder. He is a drop dead gorgeous Panda with Maroon eyes. Now mind you, he is a biter and I have a 9 year old daughter (Deanna), so I was a bit worried. I should not have been! He took a few days to settle in, then climbed up into Deanna's arms and cuddled down and has remained there (for the most part, to the annoyance of her other two ferrets SolT and Cinnimon) ever since. He never bites her, but if she is not paying enough attention, he grabs her hand and stares at her. He will lay in her hands and be carried all over the house. These two have just fallen in love. So I guess in my opinion, the Ferret decides who the bond with! Take a look at my ferrets at www.lhasas.org Marta Towne [log in to unmask] www.lhasas.org Second Chance Animal Rescue (S.C.A.R.)
