Two of my ferrets can be safely picked up one-handed, the other two should be only two-handed handled. Kouri is too long of body, and heavy, and Neugi is extremely frail. Neugi has tiny little ribs, with no fat covering them. So, in my opinion, it's not a cut and dried situation. I remember how carefully Ed handled Neugi, and I am always more cautious of him than of the other ferrets. Neugi is the reason I'm grinding chickens, which is NOT my idea of a fun afternoon. Everyone else, I might add, is getting fat. Not Neugi, he's still just fluff on a frame. Sigh. Georgia - the left coast one... [Posted in FML issue 2730]
