My name is Pher R, I live in Pelzer, SC (near Anderson). I ordinarily wouldn't send this to the FML, but you posted anonomously, so I guess I have to. There are no formal clubs, shelters or anything of the sort that I know of in Upstate SC right now. There was a girl lobbying for ferrets the name of Katie Sweeney, but unfortunately, last I heard her mom was wanted by the FBI for questioning, so no more ferret shelter or club. There is a small list on Onelist called [log in to unmask], there's a few of us ferret owners here in SC. If you want a GREAT ferret vet, use East North Vet Clinic in Greenville. They know all about ferrets. Another great ferret vet is Dr. Raymond Fay in Greenville, he's treating one of my ferts right now for possible liver cancer. Dr. Fay is listed under Ace Animal Hospital in Greenville. Email me privately if you want to get together and discuss ferrets.
