I wasn't sure whether Limejello was joking and even if he was I didn't find the story humorous, especially about beating a step-child. Sure, maybe people are a little touchy about subjects like this these days but so were a few people thirty or forty years ago when jokes about minorities and women were considered acceptable. However, I don't think the post should have been disallowed. In fact, I skipped it when I first read that issue, just like I skip posts from particular people or with particular subjects. Changing the social climate doesn't entail censorship but happens instead when people make it clear that they don't appreciate the humor. As someone with firm beliefs about how both animals and children should be treated I did not appreciate the humor. -mel ~ Question the definition of Progress ~ ~ www.Adbusters.org ~ [Posted in FML issue 2751]
