It has been a long time since I have posted, many many things going on in my life, 2 yrs ago I moved from Iowa to MN and a yr later had my first episode of Mania which has turned my life upside down, got a divorce and now my mom has been diagnosed with terminal renal cancer and since my dad is 74 I have to go home to help him with my mom. The biggest problem is that he wont let me bring my ferrets and I will be needing to find the right home for them and they are all 5 special needs ferrets. Three are Fredonia babies, one from a pound and one given because a co worker was moving and couldn't keep him. They would have to go with their respective cagemates, two in one bunch and three in the other, because changing owners will be very stressful for them. Athena is my most special needs, she has insulinoma and must be feed every 8 to 10 hrs without fail. She will not eat ferret food and must be hand feed (I think she just enjoys the cuddle time) or she will not eat. She gets a steroid medication 2 times a day and doesn't move around very well and I think she is nearly blind but she loves being held and cuddled. I worry about her the most - she is a Fredonia baby. Ulysses is my next special needs he also has insulinoma tho he does eat on his own and only needs special food twice a day for his meds, but he can't always hold food down because of a panceatic tumor that has attached itself to his stomach :{ , my vet said surgery wasn't an option to just love him for whatever time he has left, he is also a Fredonia baby. If you are interested or have questions about any of the others please email me, this is breaking my heart. None are biters, all love to be loved on.
