Hi, All: Well, ferretmath struck me, again. (What's that saying - "You can't have just one" (potato chip). Yesterday I received a call from a woman who said she called the Animal Shelter and got my name from them. Her son found a ferret in their backyard. The kid "hit" it with a stick. Grrrr. Anyhow, I picked it up. She's a little female sable, I think quite young. So, now it's 11 in my household. I'm keeping her apart. She was so hungry and thirsty. We go to Dr. Kromp for shots and check over soon. Karla questioned in FML 2727 how to get gum out. I've heard peanut butter works. Work it in and the gum comes out. Tara in the same FML asked about securing the ladder. I just converted my Midwest cage to three levels with hardware cloth and the plastic cable ties. I fastened the ladders to the sides of the cage with these ties. Now the ladders can't be moved. Bob C - When it rains, it pours....So sorry about your losses (and everyone else's). Your posts really got to me in the "hurting place." I have yet to see one of mine travel to the Rainbow Bridge, and many of them are around the same age. Two more things then I'll shut up. What town is Amy Flemming in at Heartland Ranch? And, when posts indicate "just click this web address" and money is donated to this ferret shelter. Do I just highlight it? (Sorry to be so duhhhh.)
