Hi all, I have a very ugly crisis on my hands. I have known for quite some time that the ferrets have been using my couch as their hidey-hole. What I didn't know, and I don't think they have done until recently, is that they were using this same resource as a convenient bathroom. Imagine them going in the same place for months on end, only two ferrets thank goodness, but the result is horrific. I removed the couch a few days ago to discover to my horror that the urine soaked into the couch, and leaked down into the carpet. The couch is beyond repair, it was fairly old and raunchy to begin with, this is just it's death sentence, that's all :) But the carpet is a big big problem, imagine a dump spot 6" x 3', highly concentrated. Its bad, bad enough that I'd like to use a gas mask while in my small apartment. I've been using nature's miracle to try and soak up the urine, but I've never had such a large area or such concentration. It does work, but slowly. The smell is enough to make one nausous (sp). So, any tips at all on how to remove such an 'accident' spot? Thanks! -Rob -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Robert Dejournett [log in to unmask] Graduate Student Graduate School of Biomedical Science University of Texas Houston [Posted in FML issue 2697]
