I especially want to thank Jeanne for her heartwarming tribute yesterday. I can only hope Suzanne knows what an impact she had in this world, how her unselfish dedication & generous efforts were appreciated, & most of all...how she was loved by all who had the good fortune to know her. I will be printing out your responses & sending them to her husband Ken & her son Chris. I've had requests for information about her memorial. If you would like to send condolences directly to Suzanne's family, the address is: Ken Resinger Chris Resinger 4656 E Glenrosa Phoenix, AZ 85018 Suzanne's funeral will be held at the Mercer Mortuary, on 16th & Palmer in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, June 7th - 5pm to 8pm. Her memorial service will be on Tuesday, June 8th at 2:30pm. As a rescue, Suzanne provided a haven & cared for hundreds, if not thousands, of sick & unwanted ferrets. She also delivered hundreds of CA ferrets from certain death. During that time she dealt w/the devastating effects of diabetes, which was the major cause of her failing health. I believe the causes she would have selected would have been... Morris Animal Foundation http://www.morrisanimalfoundation.org/ Californians for Ferret Legalization http://www.ferretnews.org/ Wildlife Waystation http://www.waystation.org/index.html who cared for confiscated CA ferrets until they could be picked up or one of the associations dedicated to diabetes http://www.diabeteslife.net/pros/orgs.html I honestly don't know what shelter Suzanne would have chosen. We were very close since I had the good fortune of meeting her some 12 yrs ago, & I believe she strongly believed in the organizations I've listed (with the exception of the diabetes association, which she never mentioned). In her memory I've made donations to 2 of these wonderful causes, & I'm sure Suzanne would appreciate whichever you decide. Thank you all for remembering my dear friend. Wishing you all the best.
