The last of the three rescues from Granite City ASPCA has crossed over to join the Patches and Lady. The three were dumped on an enclosed porch in Granite City, IL. A kind truck driver turned them over to the ASPCA, on Friday, who called me. I picked them up on Saturday morning. All three were old and ... and . . . not in near the best of health. Lady was sent across the bridge after being taken to the vet. Her abdomen was nothing but cancerous masses. The two males Patches and Ranger appeared to be in good health. Ranger had a large area scarred around his penis. Early Sunday morning., I drove the two boys to the Thieves Haven Rescue so Vikki could give them round the clock care. Patches was the most active, but was unable to eat solid food. He crossed 2 weeks after his arrival at the Thieves Haven. Ranger was enjoying life pilfering and roaming, due to his scar tissue around his penis he preferred smooth satin silky material, which Vikki provided for him. Rangers crossing was due to a slowwing heart. He died being held by the two people who showed him life was worth living, Vikki and her husband. Thank you Vikki and Larry [Posted in FML issue 2678]
