Had this statement applied to all animals, it would have my full support as
a ferret enthusiasts.  Did you notice that the AVMA statement did not
mention the ten children (6 yrs and under) killed each year by the family
pooch?  Or that the AVMA has no "Official" warning of Toxoplasmosis to
pregnant women.  There being no further "rabies scare," the AVMA (MPH Gang)
has now resorted to the "dangerous animal" venue against the pet ferret.
The AVMA carefully chose this wording specifically to malign and demean the
domestic ferret.  What it should have said versus what it does say, says it
all.
