Hi FML! This is Elizabeth, daughter of that crazy ferret guy Bob. I've been very busy lately at a couple of fire stations and stuff, so I haven't been able to write much. Dad hasn't written much lately and we are starting to get concerned calls and stuff so I thought I would let you all know what was going on. First, dad broke his modem. Not really, his little nephew did, with a shiney new nail. He is only 3 years old, but knew exactly where to push in the nail to ruin the thing. So dad bought a new one, but they shipped on for a PC instead of an Apple. But he finally got a new one today which is why I am able to write this to send. Boy is it fast! But that is only half the story. Dad loves baseball. Adores it. And loves to play it and even coaches little league every year. Tuesday dad was playing short stop in his fast pitch softball league when someone sliding in at second took out his knee. I heard the pop from the dugout. Dad rolled around a while, then stood up to walk it off. Only he limped it off. He insisted that he was ok and even finished the game, but was really hobbled up and got tagged out stealing 3rd. When he got home, he iced it up and took some asprin and went to bed. Today (Weds) dad couldn't walk and his knee was all purple so he went to the doctor. Bad news. Dad tore something inside his knee and has to go to day surgery Thursday to see what is going on. So they gave him a really powerful shot and he's snoring in the front room with his leg up on pillows. Anyway, he goes in tomorrow for day surgery, so wish him luck. I'm up late tonight because two of dad's ferrets are sick. Apollo has something wrong with his heart again, and dad has him in the hospital cage. He hates it because dad never cages him. So I let him out and watch him. Crystal is also sick and has been losing weight, and I have to give her some medicine in an hour. She is also in with Apollo, but she doesn't mind the cage so much. Both of them are getting watered down chicken diet that dad makes when he wants to mess up the kitchen. So I will give them some at 2 am and then I can go to bed.
