On the topic of nicknames... I have to admit that most people would not want to spend any quality time with my kids if they heard what I call them privately. Samantha escaped the process by being "too old and lazy" to get into trouble (all 4 plus years I've had her - the textbook first ferret to sucker you in!). I'm thinking of just changing Zoey's name to "Monster-ina" since she delights in trouble making. She's now teaching the cat, who will probably be known as "Monster-etto."
