Help!
One week ago my 3 year old MF ferret Snickers had a mass removed from his
liver. The pathology came back today and was diagnosed as a "patocellular
carcinoma". I put this in quotation marks because I took the message off
of my answering machine and I don't have the correct spelling of this
tumor. All of the information my vet can find pertains to dogs.
Apparently, this is not a good kind of tumor to have as the mortality rate
is not good. Right now, my ferret is back to normal in his eating and
pooping habits and seems to be putting back some of the weight he lost
before the mass was removed. His energy seems to be good, although he
tires a bit sooner than usual. He had an adrenal removed this past summer
and I imagine that major abdominal surgery twice in a year is tiring for
anyone. Any information on this carcinoma is desperately needed! I'd like
to know what to expect for Snicker's future. Please respond on this list
or email me at LELangve @aol.com. I think my vet may be doing some
research at the UW Vet school here in Madison WI. and I hope he can come
up with some more information.

Thank you in advance for your help. All of you FML people are the BEST!
