Dooks to all, and happy Easter! An update on the Pass Pet ferrets. I called and spoke with the assistant manager on Wednesday. Told her about my Mookie, and explained the two albinos had to be from his group (if not his littermates). She said they would get them into a bigger area, and also told her they needed their nails trimmed! Well, Sara and I just 'happened' to go out there, and by jove! They'd moved them to a much bigger area! We dropped by today and one of the older babies is gone. So hopefully my comments meant something. Know I'll keep an eye out on 'em. I need to ask for assistance. My father in law is absolutely fascinated with our fuzzies--we live in Indiana, the folks are in Montana. Dad's health keeps him in a lot. His dog, Bandit, has developed kidney failure. Bandit's 14 years old, and mom and I really don't think she's going to be able to pull through this time. She's quit eating, everything, and Dad is heartbroken. My mom-in-law ('mom') knows how much dad enjoys hearing about our 7 terrorists, and she's beginning to think about introducing him to a ferret. She says everytime they head for Helena, or one of the other towns, he migrates immediately to the pet store checking out the critters. I explained to her a lot about the fuzzers, how they dook, love to play, cuddle when asleep really well, etc. Is there anyone near Boulder, MT, with ferrets? If so, please contact me. We're going to call the folks tomorrow and see how Bandit is doing, but mom, Larry(my SO), and I are really afraid she's going to cross the bridge. Mom knows that deep inside dad is reconciled to this also. I told her if it happens, give him a bit before trying to introduce him to someone else, but did tell her I would contact the great people on the FML to see what we might be able to do to help him get together with a fuzzy. I'll be over here in the office in the morning to read my FML. If you want, feel free to contact me personally.
