If your local store is selling Totally Ferret from a bin, I believe they
are violating their sales agreement with Performance Foods. Anything can
be put in a bin and labelled as anything else.

TF has a shelf life of at least one year after the manufacturing date. You
can keep it longer by storing in the freezer in an air tight container.
(While not as good as deep freezer storage or flash freezing, regular
freezers are fine for most household use!)

Yes, ferrets can get diarrhea from a sudden change in food. Try adding the
new food slowly. Even though they may have turned their noses up at first,
your others may decide they like it too after a while.

Exercise is good, even for older ferrets. The more the better! Take her
out daily, or get a rice, sand or dirt box for inside digging. Phoebe may
sleep a little more soundly after such a romp, but her appetite should
increase and she will put on muscle mass.
