>I was surfing around in Amazon.com today, and came across THIS little >gem... a book for kids named _Ferret in the Bedroom, Lizards in the Fridge_ >by Bill Wallace. I read that book several years ago when I was a kid ... it's GREAT! It's about this girl named Elizabeth whose father is a zoologist, and their house is absolutely overrun with critters (Fred the Ferret and the backyard ibix are two notable ones). Elizabeth wants to run for class president, but everyone thinks she's weird because of all the animals. I won't give too much away, but I will say that it has a happy ending and she learns to appreciate her situation. I remembered that book when I decided to get a ferret. From what I recall, it's a fairly accurate representation of ferrets: michevious, funny, and quick. :-) -(TX) Meghan and Dervish the WonderFerret ("I'd prefer 'War and Peace', acutally.")
