I recall some discussions in previous FML's about ferret safe insect repellent. I just found some in a gardening catalog: Gardener's Supply Company They offer a product called Concern Citrus Home Pest Control. It's an Ant and Roach killer that's safe to use near food. It's made from orange peel not noxious chemicals. It's supposed to be good on ants, roaches, fleas and silverfish, and they claim that if you spray it around your window and door frames it helps to repel bugs for weeks. It's $7.50 for a 32 oz. bottle. I'm thinking that if it's safe to use around food, it should be safe to spray around a fuzzy cage in cases of ant infestation. Of course I would take the fuzzies out of the cage area completely before spraying.
