>From: meagan quinn <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: Dr Kawasaki and Dr Weiss >My next question is for Dr. Weiss. This is one of the vets in particular that we didn't want to feel slighted by our praise for Dr. Kawasaki. Highly recommended as well. The greater Washington DC area is blessed with both of these vets and others that really know their ferrets. From NY despite MD seeming closer, you have a somewhat similar amount of around DC travel time. Deciding between these two vets is fortunately not about either being a 'bad' vet or not being a nice guy. Some folks like Dr K better some like Dr W better. We just happened to live minutes away from Dr K so it sort of made choosing between them really easy. We normally (though our experiences with adrenals are minimal) took ferrets home the day after surgery. >From: Melissa Warren <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: A sore that will not heal >I have posted previously about my ferret Yoda, and a spot on his back that >looked to be a skin tumor. Your vet might well be right. But you also describe what we have been told was a mast cell tumor. They are usually benign I believe. -bill -- bill and diane killian zen and the art of ferrets http://www.zenferret.com/ mailto:[log in to unmask] [Moderator's note: Dr. Weiss used to post here regularly. Definitely a plus that he was willing to spend time to do that! BIG] [Posted in FML issue 2578]
